Trattore Wines

Trattore Wines, out Dry Creek Road, in the Timbercrest Farms location, is Wine Road’s newest member. Welcome!

Trattore Wines, named for the Italian word for “tractor“, shows all the passions of its founder, Tim Bucher, a local farm boy with great style and successes, who is described thusly: Owner, Farmer and Tractor Enthusiast.  Quality and value, from soil to foil,  an emphasis on Rhone varietals with the illustrious team of Kerry Damskey winemaker and Dan Rotlisberger assistant winemaker, and a keen stewardship of their 40 acres in DCV, produce 100% estate wines.  Bucher brings not only a love of this area to the game, but also an education that took him from UC Davis, to Stanford to Silicon Valley and back home- he innovates, creates and excels and his wines show that attention to detail.  Dry Creek Olive Company, sister to the winery, also creates delicious estate oils- from soil to oil- that complement the wines and can also be tasted there in the Timber Crest Farms location.  The olive oils came about when Bucher found 150-year-old still productive olive trees on his 40 acre estate- and now he has 2000 trees and a nursery, as well as a state-of-the-art milling and bottling location there at the TR, where he also mills oils for many neighbors.  Trattore welcomes guests daily, as well as for special events,  and sports a fantastic Wine Club, plus the opportunity to not only taste, but schedule a vineyard tour at the estate just up the road- incipient site of the next TR!

Here at the Timber Crest location, you can relax and picnic on Trattore’s own patio, or enjoy a bit of bocce and a larger picnic area over by the All You Can Pick Flower Garden.

The oils are set for tasting…

Tim Bucher.

Here’s looking at you, kids.
