Starlite Vineyards

Starlite Vineyards, Alexander Valley, expresses the magic of starlight and the magic of their special terroir in their wines.

Starlite Vineyards is kissed by the starlight, appreciative of the spectacular night sky in their Alexander Valley location, where flavors and food and wines must be delicious, where owners are usually staffing the TR, where musical, dramatic and art installations are de riguer, and special events are, indeed, special.    They postulate: Perhaps it is the magic of the starlight and not the famed terroir that produces our beautiful wines.  Perhaps it is a magical confluence of location, skill and talent which produces their estate-grown, evocative cabernet sauvignon, viognier (my favorite) and zinfandel,  You can even nestle yourself down here for the night!  This is a sweet, country home with polished, sophisticated TR, surrounded by lovely, blooming gardens, and then,  just across a small creek to the east, are the rambling estate vineyards- very country, very charming.  Some permanent art installations by Peter Crompton add to the ethereal feel here.  The TR, walls hung with original art, offers up the delicious wines with some food pairings, too.  You are likely to catch an owner in the TR, or a very experienced staffer- or perhaps both together.  The vibe is welcoming, combined with a learning experience; you will come away with knowledge about this special terroir and the wines produced here.
