Timber Crest Farms

Heading out Dry Creek Road, be sure to stop at Timber Crest Farms, home of many Wine Road member wineries.  (al Fresco Kitchen is CLOSED Summer 2012)

Timber Crest Farms- very well known around here from its past life as a a fruit and vegetable spot extraordinaire, is now home to ten Wine Road member wineries (watch for them all in upcoming Wine Time with TR blogs), who offer up a self-guided walk out into the vineyards to the east, a fantastic Picnic Area that can be reserved for your event (free!) as well as a Flower Cutting Garden that allows you to reasonably cut as many flowers as you like, free of charge, encouraging one with the idea that the more the flowers are loved and cut, the more they will bloom.

That Private, VIP Party could be YOURS!

The Picnic Grounds….

View from Timber Crest Farms to the west….

Old Water Tower near the Picnic Grounds- Vineyard Tour just beyond.

Famous, historic old barn on the site-100 years old and counting.

Cutting the flowers purportedly encourages more blooms.

Scissors are hanging from the rusty relic- flowers in rows beyond.

My gorgeous bouquet. I am a total sucker for flowers.

Totally cool old buildings, views, surrounding vineyards- cannot be beat.

Here’s looking at you, kids.
