The Eastside Bunch, Russian River Valley

I recently set sail with the Eastside Bunch, RRV, on their Eastside Wine Regatta, a wine & seafood extravaganza, with an altruistic goal of also raising funds for the Save the Bay Organization (since 1961) with a portion of tickets and wine sales going to such a worthy cause- and also celebrating the Bay Area connection to the America’s Cup Race.

My Eastside Wine Regatta Dock Pass.

A number of Wine Road member wineries are participants in the Regatta- and I fell under their siren song this past Saturday:

First stop:  Merriam Vineyards:

Model size….

Regulation size….

Merriam’s Skipper, Robert Conard, and  Crew Tara-The-Gracious, launch the party.

Sailing up the road, I land at Limerick Lane:

Weighing anchor, I am off to Rodney Strong Winery- but before I set sail, I notice some veraison in the vineyards and some lovely shots of the hills behind Limerick Lane:

I have now cast off and floated:

Cool new furniture groupings along the Self-Guided Tour…comfy!

Casting off, I set sail to Acorn Winery/Alegria Vineyards:

Interesting things in the vineyard….

The ONLY Lamborghini that will ever be owned by Bill Nachbaur….

Good alternative use of barrel staves!

By Robert Conard- Betsy and Tracy- left….

Here’s looking at you, kids.
