Healdsburg: Late Fall Skinny

  Fall is here along Wine Road- and, being post-Thanksgiving, it is really late Fall…Late Summer  seems so long ago. Here are some shots from out Westside Road-the seasons have definitely shifted over: Rain is descending with a vengeance- reports of imminent flooding…but even given that, I still enjoyed my trek along Wine Road today- I am not sugar and I do not melt with a little rain.  Remember: we are a year round, open daily destination- cozy, fireplace-warmed holiday bedecked tasting rooms and lodgings take over from the outdoorsy warm fall of just a few weeks back. Healdsburg Wine Country 1/2 Marathon

  Wine Road participates in the Healdsburg Half Marathon in late October 2012,  at the pre-registration in Santa Rosa, CA where Lynn Thomas, Keren Colsten and I meet and greet 1000′s of runners and affix Post Race Tasting (say that quickly more than once) wristbands to runners who are picking up their T-shirts, registration packets, having official race artist Jean-Pierre Got sign their bib and poster, attending seminars, including my talk on Wine Road Insider Tips, and finally, tasting wines from these three delicious Wine Road members: Carol Shelton Quivira Vineyards & Winery Sunce Winery & Vineyard Next day, we are up and at ‘em at the Finish Line.  2600 runners will have completed the course from Geyserville to Healdsburg, ready...

  Wine Road Hospitality Volunteers!? Wow- it just does not get any better than this!  We launched our new volunteer program for A Wine & Food Affair with Rotarians,  training them via Wine Road and the Healdsburg Police Department.  We will continue to train and build through Winter WINEland and Barrel Tasting to get a tip-top group of friendly, helpful on-the-street-in-neon-green-hospitality-giving-volunteers in Healdsburg.
